EL BOSQUE Y LOS ARBOLES

Ubicado en Suecia, Treehotel es una suerte de experimento. Cinco estudios de arquitectos diferentes diseñaron seis estructuras que componen una habitación del hotel
. La más famosa, Mirrorcube, como dice su nombre es un cubo cubierto en espejos adherido a un árbol. La forma refleja el entorno y se pierde en el bosque; por dentro, el recto tronco del árbol hace parte central del diseño interior, cubierto por tiras metálicas sobre madera. Mirrorcube es obra de Tham & Videgard Arkitekter. Por otro lado se posiciona Bird’s Nest, por Bertil Harström de Inrednings Gruppen. Esta habitación es, obviamente, un nido. Por fuera, ramas cuidadosamente posicionadas esconden las ventanas del volumen circular y lo camuflan con el entorno; por dentro, un espacio inteligente y sofisticado se opone diametralmente a la aparente rudimentaridad de su exterior con vanguardia en funcionalidad y diseño. Las otras habitaciones son Blue Cone Room, de Sandell & Sandberg; Cabin Room, de Marten Cyrén; UFO Room, también de Harström, similar a Bird’s Nest, pero esta vez en forma de platillo volador; y Dragonfly, por Rintala Eggertson Architects. El hotel cuenta además con un sauna, a ras de suelo, realizado por Harström.
