Ubicada en Sur Korea, Knot House es un complejo compuesto de casas vacacionales y un restaurant a orillas del mar que rodea Geoje. Fiel a sus principios de poder crear nuevas formas arquitectónicas a través del estudio del ambiente y la gente, la forma que los arquitectos de Atelier Chang escogieron para el proyecto es la de superficies que parecen surgir del terreno mismo y se anudan para entralazarse y crear los espacios habitables. La permeabilidad de esta tipología permite que el paisaje, el pasto, las vistas, el terreno, se cuelen en los insterticios dejados por las superficies, tanto en las terrazas como en las pasarelas. El resultado es una geometría surreal tanto interior como exterior que no obstante es sumamente fácil de navegar e integrar.
Atelier Chang fue formado en Zurich por Soohyun Chang, quien ha trabajado con Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron, HLW y en MIT.
