HABITAR LEVE Y PRECARIO

El trabajo de la arquitecta chilena Cazú Zegers está marcado por una particular sensibilidad hacia el paisaje, “La arquitectura tienen que crear un lenguaje que dialogue con la geografía y ofrezca un habitar sustentable” ha señalado. Estudió en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso y posteriormente asistió a The Parsons School of Design, desarrollando un estilo único en el que cada obra es una reflexión poética y adhiere a los principios low tech o como ella misma lo ha definido “un habitar leve y precario”; estas ideas le han valido importantes reconocimientos, como el Gran Premio Latinoamericano de Arquitectura, en la Bienal de Buenos Aires, en 1993, el estar considerada entre los veinte mejores arquitectos del mundo por la revista World Architecture o que uno de sus últimos proyectos, Hotel Tierra Patagonia sea elegido como el Mejor Hotel del año por la revista Wallpaper.
